Today Lyla, Grandma Leela and I went over to Waterloo to do a little shopping. My plan was to wait until after Lyla's morning nap to go but after my workout she decided she wanted to wake up and cry for 30 minutes. So instead of putting her back down we put her in the car seat and took off. When we got to Cedar Falls Lyla was ready to eat, so we pulled into the Kohls parking lot and once again I nursed in the back seat of a car. I found humor in this experience because about 100 feet away was a club that I used to go to in college when I would come and visit April...my how times have changed. Lyla did such a good job in Kohls and slept basically the entire time. She also slept through our lunch at Quiznos. Before we headed home we stopped in Hobby Lobby and I picked out a baby scrapbook for Lyla and a ton of paper and embellishments for my mom to use when she scrapbooks Lyla's first year. Lyla slept the entire way home so my mom and I were able to visit. Lyla got a bunch of cute clothes that my mom will probably wrap up for Christmas or her birthday. Lyla found her tongue today. It is hilarious watching her stick it outside of her mouth and chew on it. I also tried to trim her little nails and will never do it again! I was a bad mommy and cut a little of her skin. I FELT HORRIBLE! I think from now on I will file them down. Holly is always the one who cuts them for me. Well Scottie I must put an end to this blog...Lyla is crying! We are so excited for your big game tomorrow night. We wish we could be there cheering you on. We love you so very much and know that you will do amazing. We miss you boat loads. Love you oodles!
P.S. Scott my dad is trading in the van...cash for clunkers...can you believe it!
The very last preseason game Scott blew up his toe, which ended his football season prematurely. While many, and even us in the beginning, would see this as a misfortune, the Lord opened our eyes to HIS plan. I was a little worried about our timing since the football season was starting and I knew Scott would be on the road a lot. We had been trying for a few months without any luck. As fate would have it we were scheduled to fly to North Carolina for Scott's surgery. The plane was delayed so we ended up driving home for a few hours. One thing led to another... and eventually we were back on our way to North Carolina. That month we conceived and we knew that Scott's injury was our little blessing in disguise.
All Because Two People Fell In Love
Galations 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
