Daddy's Biggest Fan
Lyla experienced her first NFL game this past weekend. I was a little anxious about bringing her because I didn't want to nurse her in the stadium and it was a night game and this would be during nap time. I left for the game after kickoff and got to the stadium an hour after kickoff. I nursed her in the back of my car (first time ever nursing at a NFL game wow!) and then we headed in the stadium. When we walked in it was halftime and extremely loud. I thought for sure she would start freaking out but she didn't. It amazed me how many drunk people kept grabbing at her as I made my way to her seat. Eventually the game resumed and I tried to get Lyla to fall asleep. She sort of slept off and on but it was so loud she constantly was getting woken up. Ironically she woke up the second Scott went into the game so I let her stay up to watch Daddy. She loved watching Scottie on the giant jumbo tron that stretches from one twenty to the other. After the game we went to the Landry room to wait for the team to come out. For some reason she got really really fussy in the room even though it was pretty quiet. Once Scott got there we didn't stay long and of course she fell asleep as soon as she got in her car seat. I was so proud of her and happy that she was such a big girl. We aren't going to next weeks game so it will be nice to be able to watch the game at home. The stadium was ridiculous and the game was a lot of fun.
Also just a few pictures for my family back in the Midwest of Lyla Bean today. Love you guys so so much and miss you tons! Dad, Lyla smiled so big when I asked her today if Papa Doug sings silly songs...too cute!
