What an exciting day for little Lyla bean. We woke up this morning and Aunt Brookie and Aunt Apey were so so nice and babysat Lyla so that I could get my workout in before she went down for her nap. I knew that we were going to have a busy day so I wanted to work out and shower asap. Once Lyla went down for her nap we got the house ready for Aunt Lyn's birthday party. Mom of course worked on yummy food all morning and Brooke helped. Once Lyla woke up from her morning nap she played with all of her aunties. She loves talking and loves trying to stand up on her own. She thinks she is such a big girl! After her play time she started to get sleepy so Aunt Brookie rocked her...Thank you Brooke! After Lyla went down the guest of honor arrived at our house. Lyn, Jim, Bre and Gramp all came down for the party. I have been lucky and been able to be home the past three years we celebrated Lyn's birthday. She is such a special person and means so much to me. Eventually Lyla woke up and played with all of her relatives. After an amazing dinner consisting of marinated chicken breasts, corn on the cob, green beans, sliced potatoes and deviled eggs, we had birthday desert! My mom made an amazing ice cream desert that seriously was amazing! Eventually Lyla had to go back down and say goodbye to all of her friends. Only 45 minutes later guess what...she woke up mad at the world. I tried getting her back down and she wasn't having it so my mom, sisters, me and Isaih walked down to the grocery store with Lyla. She loved it and didn't fuss until the end but boy was she mad when we got home. I have to cut this blog short Scottie because Lyla needs to eat and go to sleep. We love you so much and everyone here missed you. We can't wait to see you on Thursday. Hope you had a good rest of the day. LOVE YOU!

The very last preseason game Scott blew up his toe, which ended his football season prematurely. While many, and even us in the beginning, would see this as a misfortune, the Lord opened our eyes to HIS plan. I was a little worried about our timing since the football season was starting and I knew Scott would be on the road a lot. We had been trying for a few months without any luck. As fate would have it we were scheduled to fly to North Carolina for Scott's surgery. The plane was delayed so we ended up driving home for a few hours. One thing led to another... and eventually we were back on our way to North Carolina. That month we conceived and we knew that Scott's injury was our little blessing in disguise.

Galations 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
