Lyla had quite the exciting day today. Last night was the first night Lyla ever slept in a crib. Of course I was a little sad about her not being a foot away from me but she did great. She slept 7 1/2 hours and 5 hours so she loved being a big girl.
Grandma Leela bought a toy pool for the older grand kids and Lyla decided she was old enough to swim in it. I took her outside before I fed her thinking I would dip her feet in the pool. I totally assumed she would throw a fit and be over it, but much to my dismay she loved it. So what did I do...I pulled her clothes off and Grandma Leela helped her swim. She absolutely loved the water and didn't even mind Max's splashes. All three of the kiddos playing in the pool was just priceless.
After about 15 minutes in the pool we came inside and ate really good for Mommy. Lyla then went down for a nap and Grandma Leela babysat while us sisters got to soak up some sun. This was so relaxing and nice to be able to visit without being interrupted. Lyla for some reason decided she wanted to wake up an hour early from her nap and play. I had the intention of putting her back down but she looked so darn cute so I decided to play with her. She loves all of her Aunties so much. I think she is confused because we all sound alike and I am pretty sure she thinks April is her mommy but this is just fine by me. I am so glad I have so many hands to help me out so that I can blog to Daddy, lay out and make guacamole! Oh yeah one more thing...Lyla is going to get her first few ears of sweet corn tonight Daddy. She is so excited. We love you so much and can't wait to see you in just over 2 weeks. Thanks for skyping us early this morning. It was obvious Lyla knew it was Daddy because she got super hyper when she heard you and even sang along as you sang the theme song to Growing Pains. Love you babe!
