Basketball Fun

Tip Off

Check out those buff arms!

Lyla and I ventured out to watch Daddy play in his basketball league. It was Lyla's first time seeing Daddy play so she was really excited to see him play.

Run Daddy run

Of course she fell asleep on the car ride to the game but about halfway through I pulled the blanket away from her car seat and realized she was wide awake.

Sleeping through the buzzers

She was such a good girl throughout the first half, not waking up for anything. Once she started to fuss I took her out of her car seat and realized she had pooped through her diaper and her sleeper.
Wide Awake (yes during bed time!)

We have been having trouble with the because she is a bit too small for her newborn diapers yet still too small for the 1's. Needless to say I have been doing a lot of laundry lately. I had a talk with Lyla about how we don't poop in our clothes when boys around. She seemed to understand and was pretty embarrassed about the whole ordeal. I said not to worry that she really can't control her b.m.'s yet.

Diaper Change at the ball game

Once we we got changed she loved the game. There were two boys sitting behind us that she couldn't take her eyes off of. I am a little worried because I was so boy crazy even as a little girl and I think my daughter is following in my footsteps. I did teach Lyla how to cheer just like her mommy and Grandma Leela and her great grandmas. All in all her first basketball game was a success, aside from the brown mess she made in her diaper. She did see her boyfriend Gonzo at the game and cried when he left...no really she did!

More sports adventures to come soon because Daddy keeps busy busy with softball and basketball!

I can't believe she is still in newborn diapers! I think Brooklyn wore hers for a week, then we moved onto size 1's. Cute litte thing! One trick I heard was to always buy the diapers a size bigger than they actually fit cuz it helps keep everything in better!? We had a BBQ last night with Steve, Rosie, and the Clary's and missed you a ton! Hope you're doing well! Love ya

Aw, that's cute! Who knows? Maybe the little one would be interested in basketball when she grows up! That's often a possibility, and it can be very beneficial health-wise, not to mention it’s great for socializing.
