Staying Put

So after not knowing where we will be in the future we finally have an answer...we are staying put here in Dallas. Scott went in on Saturday and was told that they were going to release him but everyone really liked him and that they wanted to sign him to practice squad. We expected this so it didn't come as much of a shock to us. Unfortunately no teams wanted to add Scott to their roster. The New York Giants really wanted Scott on their practice squad and said that they wanted to use him in the future. Well this was a big gamble for us. Initially when I heard New York I was really excited and ready to go. Well after thinking about it and talking to Scott my gut told me that we should stay here. Scott called his coaches here in Dallas and they told Scott that it would be a big gamble to move out there just for practice squad. We decided to stay with Dallas for a number of reason.
  1. All the coaches know Scott because he has been here all summer
  2. The coaches really like him and told him that he could be potentially one injury away from active roster
  3. It's cheaper to live in Texas than New York
  4. Moving would be a major pain
  5. Both of our guts were telling us to stay
We have been praying a lot about this and we know we made the right decision. Of course we would have loved to be somewhere on an active roster but that wasn't what the Lord wanted for us right now. We can't lose hope though because at any point any team could claim him on their roster or Scott could also be moved to active roster her in Dallas. Oh the politics of football. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers throughout this past week. We are both so blessed to have such supportive and amazing family and friends!
