Rainy Day

Today felt more like fall than summer with lots of rain and cool weather. We spent most of the day inside but did get a chance to head to Platt Park with the cousins. Lyla's favorite part was probably getting rollos and apple juice after she went down the tunnel slide that was a little too fast. She loved the tunnel slide at the other park so I made a bad mom move and sent her down this one alone. I later went down the slide and it was even too scary for me...oops sorry Lyla! Aside from the park we played the rest of the day away with Max and Mar. We also had a Hawkeye pep rally before bed! Papa Doug busted out the pom poms for Lyla and she couldn't decide on whether she should eat them or shake them. Scottie we miss you boat loads. Can't believe we are just a handful of days away from being back together. We love you so so much! Glad you are safely back in camp injury free!
