Luckily Lyla knew that her Mommy didn't get home until late last night and so she decided to sleep in until 10 am. We woke up to the most amazing weather! It was about 75 and breezy! We literally spent 90% of the day outside. We played with the faucet, the John Deere riding lawn mower, the cicadas, the puppy next door, the flower bushes, and Papa even helped her climb a tree. This evening we met up with my parents good friends John and Joanie and all went out to dinner. After dinner spent another hour at the park playing on the swings, slides, and jumpy slide. Lyla giggled for an hour straight. Of course we took her over to the football field and Lyla ran some sprints along the track. Let me tell you she was looking pretty rag tag after running for a solid hour at the park. We ended the night with a trip to DQ to get ice cream cones. Lyla and I shared a chocolate cone and had it almost gone before we pulled into the driveway. All in all it was a perfect summer day with Grandma Leela and Papa Doug.
Scottie we are getting so so excited for your big game tomorrow night. We will be sporting our Giants gear all day. Best of luck to you from all of us back in Iowa. We will be watching and cheering for you! Score us a touchdown if you can! We love you...be safe!
