This past weekend Scott, Lyla, and I flew to Noblesville, Indiana to help celebrate Max and Marlee's birthdays. Anytime we can get the three cousins together it always makes for a great time. Lyla adores Max and Marlee, she literally shakes with excitement when she sees them. We had such a great time with our family. Scott, Jason, and Isiah golfed a bit and us sisters and my mom even got an afternoon at the pool without kids! We also stuffed our faces with some amazing sweet corn and Indiana tomatoes! We also got to attend Hol and Jason's church, which was really neat, and had a great message on honoring God. Thanks to the Bezy family for putting us up and making travel life so easy. We miss you all so much and Lyla still randomly throughout the day calls out for Max and Marlee.
The very last preseason game Scott blew up his toe, which ended his football season prematurely. While many, and even us in the beginning, would see this as a misfortune, the Lord opened our eyes to HIS plan. I was a little worried about our timing since the football season was starting and I knew Scott would be on the road a lot. We had been trying for a few months without any luck. As fate would have it we were scheduled to fly to North Carolina for Scott's surgery. The plane was delayed so we ended up driving home for a few hours. One thing led to another... and eventually we were back on our way to North Carolina. That month we conceived and we knew that Scott's injury was our little blessing in disguise.
All Because Two People Fell In Love
Galations 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
