Pumpkin Patch
I love fall...pretty leaves...candy corn...and of course HALLOWEEN! Of course when you get older Halloween isn't as fun as when you were a kid but that is the joy of now having a child, I get to live vicariously through her. Yesterday we all went to the pumpkin patch. Our first attempt failed when we realized that they didn't open until three. So after Lyla's afternoon nap we headed out again to find the perfect pumpkin. The patch was located at a Lutheran Church and it was adorable. I can remember as a kid being so excited to pick up the perfect pumpkin and deciding on a fat one or a tall one. Obviously Lyla has no clue where she was but I wanted the photo op. We found a tiny pumpkin for Lyla and one for Scott and I. We had so much fun and it is so nice to live in a place that has somewhat of a fall...of course not like the Iowa falls with the GORGEOUS leaves. At least it is warmer down here...65 and sunny at the end of October feels pretty nice. Pictures of our transformed pumpkins will be up in a few days. Happy carving everyone!
